Spring is a time of growth and renewal, the perfect time for a restorative energy tune-up! This workshop uses deep breathing, gentle yoga, positive affirmations and meditations to rebalance the chakras, the vital energy centers that play an essential role in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. It is through the chakras (Sanskrit for “wheel” or “circle”) that life energy – known as prana or chi – is processed. Balanced chakras allow this energy to flow freely, promoting vitality, health and harmony. Usher in the new season by embarking on a journey of profound healing and transformation. Namasté!

Olivia H. Miller, RYT, is the author of eight wellness and exercise card decks, including The Chakra Deck, The Yoga Deck, and The Stretch Deck. She is also the author of Essential Yoga, a hatha yoga reference book. Olivia facilitates stress reduction, energy balancing and therapeutic laughter workshops and classes in yoga studios, the workplace and at conferences and retreats. $30 ($5 discount when paid by 3/13)

A Special Welcome

Welcome to The Yoga Center of Cape Cod, located on Historic Route 6A in East Dennis, Massachusetts, opened in October of 1998. We offer all levels of yoga – beginning, intermediate, and advanced; heated and non-heated. The goal of the Yoga Center is to offer a place where people and instructors can come together and share their knowledge. The Yoga Center of Cape Cod is a place where all can participate in a safe environment for their healing physically, mentally and spiritually.

The Center’s Director, Lynnette Walker, MBA, RYT, is a native Cape Codder. Lynnette is Certified by Jimmy Barkan and Registered with Yoga Alliance as a Hot Yoga Teacher. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Lynnette is co-leader of the Cape Cod Chapter of the New England Holistic Chamber of Commerce. She is also a Notary Public.

Lynnette was trained in the Hot Yoga from the Calcutta India Lineage. In The Barkan Method series of postures, yoga is done in a heated room, and lasts for 90 minutes. The room is heated to prevent injury, helps sweat-out toxins, and allows for a deeper release of the muscles. Over time, with a consistent practice, yoga can help heal many physical conditions and emotional ones as well.
