The Center’s Director, Lynnette Walker, MBA, RYT, is a native Cape Codder. Lynnette is Certified by Jimmy Barkan and Registered with Yoga Alliance as a Hot Yoga Teacher. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University. Lynnette is co-leader of the Cape Cod Chapter of the New England Holistic Chamber of Commerce. She is also a Notary Public.
Lynnette was trained in the Hot Yoga from the Calcutta India Lineage. In The Barkan Method series of postures, yoga is done in a heated room, and lasts for 90 minutes. The room is heated to prevent injury, helps sweat-out toxins, and allows for a deeper release of the muscles. Over time, with a consistent practice, yoga can help heal many physical conditions and emotional ones as well. This small, intimate and friendly studio will help support you in your journey. Come sweat with us!
The Yoga Center of Cape Cod offers yoga classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and different styles of yoga and offers heated and non-heated classes. Class styles include Gentle Yoga (Beginner, non-heated), Vinyasa Yoga (Beginner to intermediate, non-heated), Astanga Yoga (Intermediate, warm), Hatha Yoga (Beginner to intermediate, non-heated), Hot Yoga (The Barkan Method, Beginner to Intermediate, heated to 95-100 degrees), and Hot Yoga to Sacred Music.
The Yoga Center of Cape Cod is a member of the Dennis, MA Chamber of Commerce and the New England Holistic Chamber of Commerce.
